How far in advance should I shop for my gown? You should begin looking for your gown 9-12 months in advance. Gowns usually take 4-6 months to order.
My plan is to lose weight before my wedding, should I purchase a smaller sized? We would recommend you to order the size you usually wear because gown is easier to be taken in, then out. Alteration can make a loose gown fit perfectly but cannot increase the size.
What is your return policy? All sales are final. This final sale policy is consistent with the industry standard for bridal and special occasion apparel. Due to the special nature of out merchandise, we cannot accommodate exchanges or refunds under any circumstances. Our vendors are unable to cancel or make any changes or modifications to any order once it has been placed.
What is a bustle? Most bridal gowns have trains that are not detachable. The seamstress will add what is called a bustle when doing the alteration, which means attaching the train to the back of the dress. In doing this the bride can move more freely at the reception.
How long should I expect my visit to last? Once you have gone back to your private dressing room, expect to spend from 1-1 ½ hours with your personal Wedding Consultant.
Do you have payment option? When you order your gown we require a 50% deposit, payable with cash, check, or credit card. The final 50% is due upon picking up your gown. If purchasing a gown from our "in Stock" collection, you must pay in full at point of sale.
Do you carry bridal accessories, such as headpieces and veils? Yes, our stores offer a wide range of accessories for the bride and her bridal party. We also carry shoes, bras, handbags, and jewelry.
Are alterations included in the price of the gown? Alterations are an additional charge. Alterations vary depending on the style of gown, the fabric and detail, and the alterations needed. We feel that alteration is an important aspect of the bridal gown experience. Quality is the key. Experience has shown that free alterations result in poor workmanship. Ask the alteration manager for the estimate base on your needs.
When are alterations necessary? When our professional alterations staff measures you, the size of your gown is selected by accommodating the measurement that was taken. This does not mean that your gown is custom made to fit your measurements. Alterations are almost always necessary to achieve the perfect fit of your gown. The charge for alteration is not included in the price of your gown.
How do you determine which size I will order? We have size for each designer that we carry. We will take your bust, waist, and hips measurements and determine where you fall on the size chart. Gowns are made according to the size chart, not custom to your measurements. Therefore you may need a few alterations about a month before the wedding, to make it a perfect fit. Keep in mind that extra size charges apply to certain sizes, and if you are over 5' 10" you may have to order extra length.
What is a blusher? A blusher is the piece of veiling that covers the bride's face when she walks down aisle.
How long does it take for a dress to come in? Depending on the designer and time of year, a dress can take 4-6 months to come in. However, some designers have quicker deliver times or offer a rush service.
What forms of payment do you take at pick up? We accept all major credit cards and personal checks on your initial payment. All final payment most be made in cash or credit card. If you choose to pay with a personal check for your final payment, you must drop off 3 weeks prior to picking up your merchandise, or leave your merchandise in our salon for 3 weeks after you have given us your check. NO CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED AT THE FINAL PICKUP. |
